What I Do:

  • Premiere, DaVinci, Avid, Final Cut, etc. You name it, I can use it.

  • Fluent in After Effects while proficient in Nuke, Blender, Cinema4D.

  • I know my levels, I know my compressors, and I know the difference between White and Pink noise.

  • While much of design is subjective, following simple design rules goes a long way in terms of audience perception.

  • As an editor, I turn vibes into content. The same is true when presenting a brand.

  • DaVinci is awesome.

  • Various plug-ins, scripts, and expressions are complex, but putting in the effort to learn and apply their uses is worth it.

  • Most of my career has revolved around social media content creation. I have an understanding of what works, and what doesn't. With The Daydream Arcade, I have increased both subscribers and watch time 5-fold in 6 months.

About Me

My name is Will Previdi. I am a Video Editor and full-time student-athlete at DePaul University running DI Cross Country/Track and Field. I am majoring in Film/Television with a concentration in Editing. I will be graduating in June 2025.

I am fluent in Premiere and After Effects. With Premiere, I edit. With After Effects, I specialize in creating plug-and-play graphics packages. Using systems of expressions and compositions, I make producing lots of graphics quicker and easier than you could imagine. It's all about the workflow.

I started as a freelance editor doing a million of different things and that landed me a great opportunity in DePaul's creative marketing office. In April 2023, I got accepted as an intern in creative services at NBC Chicago. When my internship ended, NBC hired me as a freelance Creative Marketing Producer. Now, I’m developing The Daydream Arcade YouTube channel from a little guy with 600 (Feb. 2024) subscribers to a slightly bigger little guy with 3,700 (Jan. 2025).

I am also a full-time student athlete at DePaul University competing in NCAA D1 Track & Field/Cross Country. In 2022, I qualified for the U20 World Championships in the 3k Steeplechase. I am going strong at 3 years and counting with Big East All-Academic honors. In 2023, I also earned All Big East honors in the outdoor 4x800.

On a more personal note, I want to do something with my life. I want to emphasize the importance of being an informed member of society. I want to lead by example by doing what I can with the resources available to me. I believe that being honest with oneself is one’s most important quality. The impact of my actions in this aspect of my life is invisible. With editing and graphics work, I get to see my impact. This line of work takes people’s beautiful ideas and makes them shareable with the world. I love my work because, most simply, I help make people’s dreams come true.
